Johnson Barn Restoration and Conversion
Ashby Massachusetts
.
Some Background on the Barn
This barn was originally a Rope factory located about 1/4 mile from its location now. It was
relocated to it current location some time after the civil war. It was used for farm animals until
November 2006 when the family decided to restore the leaning, sinking and rotting barn into a family
apartment. The original structure was lifted from it lowest point 14 inches and pulled forward to level
the gable ends. Stones under the posts where removed and replaced with a new concrete
foundation and granite posts. There is allot more to list so please view the pictures
This Project is still in progress so please stop back in and see the new pictures.
